Play is how children communicate.

In a session of play therapy it is the child who decides on whatever toys or games to use. I take care to provide all the creative and play material needed in the expression of feelings and to accompany the child as closely as I can in whatever he or she is living at that moment in time.

Children don’t always know how to put their difficulties in words. They tend to express physical symptoms or unusual behaviour, sleeping difficulties, anxiety, sore tummies, tearfulness, or aggressivity.  A drop in school results, regression in language acquisition or toilet training … there are many different signs.

By using available resources, the child will be able to exteriorise his or her emotions and little by little, in a safe and welcoming space, find the self-confidence they need to return to the challenge of growing up and becoming fully themselves.
